Our History

GT Industrial Sales commenced trading under local ownership in April 1991.

Starting with 6 employees, the business has over the years grown to be the leading outlet in the South East of South Australia and Western Victoria for quality tools and equipment, power transmission products and fluid transfer solutions.

In 1997, GT Industrial became a founding member of Australian Industrial Supplies.

This group of independently owned industrial supply businesses, was formed with an original membership of nine companies to negotiate better buying power on behalf of the individual store owners.

The group has now expanded to approximately 100 independent industrial stores Australia wide and is now one of the largest industrial supply groups in Australia.

In 2002, as a result of continued growth, we relocated to a brand new, purpose built store and still our current location which offered us nearly twice the floor space and future proofing us for years to come.

Joining AIS has proved to be a master stroke, which created unrivaled product reach and diversity in our industry and allowing us to compete with the big box stores Australia wide while still offering customer service and support at a level they can’t compete with.

Now operating for over 32 years and having grown to employ 17 people, including 2 full time mobile account managers, we are able to bring GT’s to your workplace and offer the same quality advice and customer service clients have come to expect from us.
